I am a creative and entrepreneurial developer who enjoys taking initiative, sharing knowledge, and mentoring colleagues.
I am a creative and entrepreneurial developer with a broad background in frontend and full-stack development. I thrive on building digital solutions and on mentoring and supporting colleagues, helping teams grow stronger and more self-reliant.
Currently, I work as a Lead Frontend Developer and Technical Coach at Randstad Group Netherlands. I am training a colleague to take over my responsibilities while also fulfilling a broad role: working with modern frontend technologies, contributing to backend development, and setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and AWS. My work is versatile, ranging from coding to coaching and from providing advice to hands-on execution.
In recent years, I have worked with several leading companies while also pursuing my entrepreneurial drive by developing personal projects. From launching platforms and organizing meetups to collaborating within collectives such as Red Nomads, my career has consistently combined professional assignments with personal initiatives. Along the way, I have frequently mentored and trained colleagues, for example at Guts & Gusto, where I not only developed their new website but also helped the team further professionalize its knowledge and processes. These experiences have taught me to take responsibility, recognize opportunities, and successfully deliver complex projects.
In my free time, I produce digital music in FL Studio, enjoy nature walks with my wife, love experimenting with new recipes, and volunteer at a local thrift store.
As a coach and full-stack developer, I train a colleague to become an independent full-stack developer, while also being responsible for the further development of custom solutions for the clients of Randstad Group Netherlands. In this role, I combine development and leadership with work in both front-end and back-end, including setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
As a full-stack developer (with a focus on front-end), I was responsible for (semi) custom solutions for the clients of Randstad Group Netherlands (Yacht, Tempo-Team, Randstad). During this period, my work was mainly focused on developing a future-proof self-service portal for freelancers, with a solid front-end architecture complemented by back-end tasks and CI/CD responsibilities.
As a full-stack developer (with a focus on front-end), responsible for the development and maintenance of (semi) custom solutions for the clients of Randstad Group Netherlands (Yacht, Tempo-Team, Randstad).
As a front-end developer, I took the lead in the redesign of the self-service platform for B2B clients of Randstad, Tempo-Team, and Yacht.
As a lead full-stack developer, I was responsible for translating designs into fully functioning applications for both web and mobile. I worked closely with the design team and the business. At the time, we developed an application for the business services market, using Java (Android), Gradle, and Firebase.
The result was a lightweight application that required little capacity from a mobile device, while being stable, easy to use, and quick to download.
For the Guts & Gusto webshop, I developed a CMS for the monthly lookbooks. My role was to build both the front-end and the back-end API that powered the front-end with data. The technologies used included PHP, JavaScript (VueJS), CSS, and HTML.
The result was a simple, seamless, and stable CMS for the lookbooks on Guts & Gusto’s retail website.
As a full-stack developer, I designed and implemented a new database plan for the online retail webshop. Based on this setup, I collaborated with the team to create both a new back-end and front-end structure. The technologies used included PHP, JavaScript (VueJS), CSS, and HTML.
The result was a lightweight webshop that worked smoothly across all devices with a mobile-first approach. Its lightweight setup made the webshop stable, fast, and easy to use.
For the Guts & Gusto webshop, I also developed several JavaScript-based games using Canvas. I worked closely with the design team, paying careful attention to game performance on mobile devices, since that was the primary platform for players. The technologies used included PHP, JavaScript (Canvas), CSS, and HTML.
The result was a unique user experience, allowing customers to earn discounts by playing games.
As a lead full-stack developer, I was responsible for the technical realization of a new website in the business services market. This website was built with PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
The result was a fully new website, accessible on all devices, and easier to update with new content.
As a freelance technical coach and full-stack developer, I combine hands-on development with mentoring colleagues to deliver relevant products that achieve real results.
As a front-end developer, I was responsible for creating a new front-end, collaborating closely with the designer and back-end developer. The technologies used included PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
The result was a website where students could easily buy affordable second-hand bicycles nearby.
